This blog is dedicated to the sport of whitewater kayaking in Newfoundland and Labrador; the eastern most bit of Canada and North America. Kayaking in Newfoundland is incredible in spite, or perhaps because of the weather. In any given year paddlers in Newfoundland will paddle with or around the normal things we almost take for granted - ice flows, caves, arches, seals, bears, ice bergs, whales, lots and lots of whales, walrus, eagles, cormorant, all flavours of gull, harlequin duck, puffin, turr, sunfish, giant leather back turtle on occasion and the list goes on. Where else or what other sport can claim this?

Based in St.John's Newfoundland Labrador, Tumblehome Canoe Club is a local canoeing club that welcomes members from all parts of the Province. The Club is a non-profit group of canoeing enthusiasts who get together regularly to enjoy the sport of canoeing and socialize with other canoeist.
